PRF injections can help to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin.

PRF injections can be used to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and volume loss in the face. The results are not as dramatic as some other injectables, but they are more natural-looking. Additionally, PRF can be used to speed up the healing process after surgery.

Platelet Rich Fibrin Injections

What is Platelet Rich Fibrin?

PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is a concentration of platelets and growth factors that can stimulate the skin’s natural healing process. Platelets are known to help improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging by stimulating collagen and elastin production.

PRF injections are derived from the patient’s own blood, so there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection. The platelets and growth factors in PRF can help to improve the tone and texture of the skin while also reducing inflammation. It also lasts longer than hyaluronic acid filler.

What can I expect during a PRF injection treatment?

Platelet Rich Fibrin Injections are a minimally invasive procedure that takes less than 30 – 45 minutes to complete. First, a small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm. This sample will then be placed in a centrifuge where it will be spun to separate the plasma from the platelets. Once this process is complete, the platelet-rich plasma will be injected into the treatment area using a very thin needle. You may experience some minor discomfort during this part of the procedure, but it should subside quickly.

What does PRF Aftercare look like?

You can expect some tenderness and swelling in the days following your treatment or procedure but it’s normal. You should avoid using anti-inflammatory blood medications for 3 days after, as they may reduce down pain by reducing inflammation at least until we see how well these work on their own! If you are experiencing any other side effects such redness/ bruising then contact us right away so that I might be able help ease those discomfort with ice packs.

Good Candidate For PRF Injections

How do you know if Platelet Rich Fibrin treatment is right for you? PRF injections may be the perfect solution for those who want to find an all-natural, non surgical way of addressing and correcting lines & uneven skin tone. As we age our bodies can lose fat tissue which results in wrinkles or furrows on your face due poor growth factors that are no longer produced by cells within their body.

PRF for Hair Loss

PRF treatment for hair regrowth is a treatment that uses the patient’s own blood to generate new hair growth. During the treatment, a sample of blood is taken from the patient and then placed in a centrifuge. This process separates the platelet-rich fibrin from the rest of the blood. The platelet-rich fibrin is then injected into the scalp, where it triggers the growth of new hair follicles using the body’s own stem cells. PRF for regrowth is a safe and effective treatment for hair loss, and it can be used to improve the thickness and density of existing hair with optimal results.

What is in a PRF Injection?

Leukocyte-PRF (L-PRF) is a platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) that PRF contains leukocytes, cytokines and adhesive proteins including fibrinogen, fibronectin, vitronectin, and thrombospondin-1. The presence of white blood cells (WBCs), that secrete a large quantity of growth factors, is a key feature of L-PRF which is named for this reason.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) vs (PRF)

Although there are some basic similarities between platelet-rich plasma and platelet-rich fibrin (prf and prp), it is the differences between these two products that make platelet-rich fibrin stand out as a superior treatment procedure option. PRP is spun at a higher speed, which effectively causes all of the heavier cells in the blood, such as white blood cells and stem cells, to collect in the bottom part of the test tube and allows the lighter platelets and plasma to collect in the top part of the test tube. Platelet-rich fibrin is spun at a lower speed, which allows for all of the components of the blood sample to remain evenly mixed together. This results in a product that has a higher concentration of platelets and a lower concentration of white blood cells and stem cells. The end result is a product that is more effective at promoting healing and has fewer risks associated with it for the body.
